FOOD MARKETS LJUBLJANA
LOGLINE
Slovenia's diversity shines at Ljubljana's central market, where local bakeries, dairies, and meat stalls offer regional delicacies like Carniola sausage and Kraški pršut, alongside fresh produce, lake fish, and Adriatic seafood.
SYNOPSIS
The central market of Ljubljana perfectly captures the richness and diversity of Slovenia. From the bakeries and family dairies to the meat stalls offering Carniola sausage or the prsut (a delicious, unique ham that can be found on the lower level of a seminary), the market represents the vastness of the Slovenian culture. Two great open spaces host the fresh fruit and vegetable stalls while the fish market sits comfortably along the water-edge colonnade. The addition of urban honey and freshly harvested salt gives the beautiful city market a unique touch.
